If you are planning to stay long in Florence or Italy, it is advised that you take precautions with regards to possible medical care. You should take your E111 or E128 form to the above-mentioned office to register. Here, you can choose a doctor and will then be given a health services information booklet, which you will need to show at any First Aid centre or when visited by the doctor. It is recommended that you photocopy your E111/E128 and keep this copy at hand at all times. Students who do not have complete health coverage in their home country or come from a non-EC country will need to take out a health insurance policy.
